Thanks for the update, bkdelong. What a weird story. I see this now as an entertaining but unsettling footnote to the saga of PC security.

erm, the reg has a followup to this story here. Basicaly, the guy is a conman and it doesn't do all of what it says. But in the end its still a trojan, and a nasty one at that, but no worse than sub7, and that's free. Worth a look at the reg mea culpa though as it has some more interesting info.
