Wow. That timeline sent me off on a journey that led me to ultimately end up reading about the poisonous properties of methyl salicylate and the X-ray powers of Scotch tape. Excellent.

Often when I see talk of foodfights I remember a friend in high school who walked up to some prickish jock in the cafeteria, reached down on to his (the jock's) lunch tray and snatched the patty out of his cheeseburger, smacked him in the face with it while shouting "I challenge you to a dual, sir!".

Sadly, no dual occurred (though they both got suspended).
