Was I the only one hoping for music and flashing lights? posted by mrgrimm at 10:16 AM on October 13 [5 favorites]
Love the art. The jokes are a bit like the ones you might hear in a bad sitcom ("Donna left me!" "Looks like you're gonna have to update your Facebook status, pal!" HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA), but the art gets high marks. posted by hifiparasol at 10:17 AM on October 13
No, no you weren't. posted by cavalier at 10:20 AM on October 13
I agree with hifiparasol, except that the art isn't all that special either. posted by DU at 10:25 AM on October 13
There's simply no accounting for taste. I really like this, ya'll haters should go for a walk or something. posted by dirtdirt at 10:28 AM on October 13

Some of these are actually pretty funny.

This is more like the Techno Tuesday I was hoping for. But now I've found that, so I'm happy! posted by EvaDestruction at 10:44 AM on October 13 [1 favorite]
Personally, I prefer Tecmo Tuesday. posted by Plutor at 11:18 AM on October 13
No, mrgrimm, you were not.
These are hit or miss, but overall somewhat amusing. The one from 10/6 is hitting home since I just got a Kindle for my birthday. posted by cmgonzalez at 11:19 AM on October 13
I know, mrgrimm. I've read my Guide to Electronic Music, even if the guy who was writing the column for the Georgetown Independent hasn't. But I'll take the Daft Punk quite happily. posted by EvaDestruction at 11:30 AM on October 13 [1 favorite]

It is? Chris Ware's not jokey at all, whereas it seems that this guy never met an observation about "internet culture" that he wouldn't torture into a visual pun. posted by youarenothere at 3:35 PM on October 13
Mr. Grimm & Eva: The definitions "techno" and "house" are all but meaningless nowadays. Over the last 15 years i've seen their narrower scope morph through all kinds of music styles, while both can rightly be used to define almost all kinds of 4/4 bassdrum driven music. posted by svenni at 7:35 PM on October 13
