That was ... depressing.

At first I thought it was some kind of student portfolio project, in which case the lameness is completely excusable. Then I saw it was an actual submission to Cannes. I realize they're going for that tribute-to-cheesy-sci-fi effect, but it just comes off very flat and uninspired. But hey, killer robots.

First thing I thought of when I saw the stop-motion robot.

R.O.T.O.R.'s horribleness is so much more so, when you consider that it came out five years after The Terminator.

Mostly just the stop-mo-over-black-ness made me think of it. I never made it all the way through R.O.T.O.R. "Attackazoids, Deploy!" is waaaaay better.

Huh, how about that.

R.O.T.O.R. - Robotic Officer Tactical Operation Research
Parts 1; 2; 3; 4; 5; 6; 7; 8; 9 of 9.

All parts appear to be equally awful.

Lacks any kind of awesome, except for the frilly dress/apron with the war slogan.

I miss MST3K. I always wish that when they got canceled they had figured out a way to move online making fun of online youtube videos and movies. Maybe in a few years.

Well, I enjoyed it.

I'm apparently one of the few who appreciate pointless gore. Thanks for posting.
