memebake: I suppose that as datacenters get bigger, the definition of what a supercomputer is starts to get a bit blurred. I presume that some of the Google datacenters could give some of these machines a run for their money, but because they are not officially single 'computers' they don't get on the list.I should think if you could count the Google "app"/datastore that back-ends Search, GMail, et al, as a single supercomputer, it would dwarf all other contenders. Their core count has to be into the hundreds of thousands or possibly millions.
