Jamaica may legalize marijuana. I figure if a country that grows so much of it, and allows religious groups so much more influence in politics than we do is going down this (seemingly) sensibile road - perhaps we should consider it here in the 'ole USA...
I'm sure that in the future, going through customs after a trip to Jamaica will be fun.

Trust me, it ain't no party right now. In Miami you have the pleasure of huge dogs sniffing you, and if you happen to be young + male you get extra special attention. Of course, all that would be nonexistent if the demand over here wasn't so high (so to speak).

I figured out a way for them to get around U.S. gubment objections. We'll let them legalize the herb, and in return, we have to outlaw poseur white boys with dreadlocks and tricolor knit caps. Everybody wins. Now spark up dat spliff, wouldja mon?

When I came back from my honeymoon in Jamaica two and a half years ago, I got nary a look from the customs people. I should have, but I didn't...
