This is a minimalist version of the one with the chicken and the cow from last week. posted by nickrussell at 7:20 AM on October 22, 2010
This is one of those great concept, terrible actual gameplay things, isn't it? posted by .kobayashi. at 7:24 AM on October 22, 2010
No, actually I found the implementation to be pretty great. The personalities of the friends come through very well, even though they are just rectangles. posted by DU at 7:41 AM on October 22, 2010 [2 favorites]
Eh, sorry if I was flip. I found switching between the four characters with the spacebar to be very non-intuitive. And the jumping to be very very sensitive and fine grained; often the answer to the puzzle was extraordinarily clear, but it took me several tries getting the square to balance on the long rectangle for next needed jump.
I liked the flash game posted earlier, with the sheep, in which there were multiple ways to change characters. Still, given how simple this was, you're right -- the personalities do seem sharp for rectangles. posted by .kobayashi. at 8:49 AM on October 22, 2010
At first, Thomas was alone. But as each new friend appeared, everything just became an increasing pain in the ass to accomplish. posted by nanojath at 9:32 AM on October 22, 2010 [3 favorites]
Guys, I'm working on the next big game concept! It will involve a single grey dot and a staring contest. Who will drop a penny in my hat? posted by Laotic at 10:31 AM on October 22, 2010
This is about friendship and cooperation about as much as Super Mario Bros is about plumbers. posted by ekroh at 1:12 PM on October 22, 2010
I liked this a lot and did not find it to be one of those painful pixel-specific puzzles. I don't know what everyone's griping about. posted by shakespeherian at 9:09 AM on October 23, 2010 [1 favorite]

Seriously though, that was nice. If anything a little too easy. posted by Rock Steady at 7:51 PM on October 23, 2010 [1 favorite]
