Fill-in-the-blank press release Who is Customer TBD? “ ‘This is a must-have upgrade,’ said Customer TBD. ‘Adobe After Effects 5.0 has several new features that will allow me to quickly produce the kind of effects that I need to keep my videos fresh and interesting. I'm also looking forward to taking advantage of the new plug-ins.’ [Suggested quote for approval/attribution]”

I would guess that "Customer TBD" means that they had this great quote that they wanted to get someone to say, and they were just waiting to get a customer to say it so they could quote him. Hence "To Be Determined".
If they can manufacture movie critics...

I don't think they particularly care if anyone says it or not... I was working on a site for someone, once. There was a testimonial on the front page, with a head shot of the person who supposedly said it. Strangely, I was instructed to change the photo and the name underneath at one point, but the testimonial stayed the same.

Press releases are full of bogus quotes. The PR flack writes the quotes, then clears them with the person who supposedly said them, or goes looking for someone who is willing to be quoted as saying them.
