Yeah, no offense to plinth or Greg, but I don't think MeFi's bandwidth should be used for things like this in the future. Discuss in MetaTalk thread. Or don't. But I've stated my opinion, and I'll be happy to hear yours.

Picked two at random, [(1), (2)]; discovered he's against ripping off Metallica mp3s and in favor of dumping IP for a secure protocol. Milquetoast that I am, I'll just say Suck is the right place for the dude. His prose style, while vivid, does not remind us of Nancy Mitford.

Greg Knauss is the bomb. Those that missed EOD missed something special. It was one of the best web diaries I've ever found.

He also writes for TeeVee, Sendmail.net, McSweeney's, Simpleton, The Fray and created Metababy. Don't let any of this interfere with your thoughtful and nuanced view of his work, though.
