How do I sell an adult domain without getting screwed?

I've owned a domain name for quite a while that was intended for an "adult novelty" online store. I believe it to be an excellent name for that and now I'd like to sell it. How do I valuate that and how do I sell it without going to huge amounts of effort?

I don't want my life to sit around gathering dust.

Simplifying life and purging my junk. I'm exhausted and I haven't even started. How to make it easier, less painful, and maybe even profitable?

lockin and loadin

Harder, better, stronger, faster - Hilty and Bosch, often called the masters of locking, pair up with Co-Thkoo to serve up 10 riveting minutes of dance. The routine to Daft Punk's classic starting about midway in the clip is brilliant. [more]

"Gee, I just love your accent."

BBC News: "Gee, I just love your accent." The American nation may be more wary of crossing borders, but their love affair with the British accent continues unabated. Despite the fact that there are multiple variants therein, and what may be considered a "low-class" accent in the UK is still considered a "high-class" posh accent in the US. Naturally, the Brits will play this up to the hilt - and it may help in getting them jobs, credibility, Oscars and Emmys, by no less an authority than Stephen Fry.

Amateur video, ideally closed captioned.

Playing it safe in the digital age-- how can I record and store very private video of myself and him together (for us to enjoy together), but reserve the right to rescind access if the relationship ends?

Where does "bread and butter" come from?

When walking on the strip in Vegas recently, a couple walking toward me was forced to split to either side of me, and the woman said "bread and butter!". I remember my mom using this phrase when I was a kid, but it was the first time I'd heard it from someone else. What's the origin of this phrase?

Listening to this story about hospital interns on NPR yesterday got me thinking about the practice of interns and residents working around the clock. What is the purpose of this?

Winds of Change!

(Birthday filter)I am not young enough to know everything. -- Oscar Wilde- Today I turn 28, I have been extremely lucky in life (though this year was full of hiccups). Though this past year was a bit trying, I have plenty to be thankful for. I would love for you guys to give me some advice for the upcoming year. What do you wish you had known at 28 that you know now? Some pearls of wisdom would be the best gift I can ask for. Thanks guys!

Help with $3500 broadband overage fee due to miscommunication

Tragic miscommunication leading to sudden $3500+ fee, for person with no savings and a strict day-to-day type budget. Just found out about this and have now finished hyperventilating enough to type. This is not an emergency timewise, but I'd truly be grateful for any advice you can give.

post-slatewiper documentary

"When you walk into a house that was sealed in the last couple of years of the plague, you can crack the door or window and it pops like a vacuum seal, and you walk in and there's surprisingly little dust..."

Among the quotes from "Ever Since the World Ended," a fake documentary about the 186 survivors left in SF following a slate-wiping pandemic. No idea if it's any good, but the documentary approach makes it creepy, because it doesn't feel far from home.

Favorites for Opera?

So I guess favoriting is still broken for Opera. (I posted about this on Oct 25th). I dunno if Matt intends to support this feature on Opera or not, but I thought I'd prod anyway to see if the answer might be yes. (Please!)

Yeah, yeah, I'll switch to Firefox, it just crimps my browsing style. It's just not my... favorite.

We discussed improving penmanship once or twice. I'd like to know who is/was known for their distinctive hand. Links to letters or notebooks would be wonderful.

"I felt that something unusual was happening, that I had never heard the piano played like this."

"The sound was not of this world, it hovered in space like some celestial blessing".
He could play the piano ”before he had learned to smile”, his mother said, and he gave his first concert at the age of six. He studied under Alfred Cortot, Charles Munch, Paul Dukas, and Nadia Boulanger. He was an esteemed teacher and critic at 19, an international phenomenon at 24. He escaped from his native Rumania to Switzerland in 1943 with his fiancée, a joint capital of five Swiss francs in their pockets. After the war, just as he had arrived in the pantheon of great performing artists, Dinu Lipatti was diagnosed with leukemia. In September 1950, near death, despite the urgings of his doctors Lipatti insisted upon one last recital at Besançon. As his wife recalled, this was the only way Lipatti could bear to take his leave of the world. Lipatti was so weak he could barely walk to the piano. But once he began playing, he became transformed. After performing 13 waltzes, he could no longer muster the strength necessary to perform the final selection. So he substituted Myra Hess's piano arrangement of Bach's 'Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring".(page with sound). Three months later, Lipatti died at the age of 33. After Lipatti's funeral, his old mentor Cortot wrote: "There was nothing to teach you. One could, in fact, only learn from you."
