on the best "non-weblog" content of a weblog, there is a nomination for Fairvue central. shouldn't nikolai remove himself from consideration given the obvious conflict of interest?

Nah, nikolai's a stand-up guy, he'll play it fair. I'm more concerned with the fact that I'm not nominated for best latin-american blog.

you know honestly, I lost this same category [best topical] to my same competitor [disturbing search requests] last year, and our sites are still the same, so I'm guessing the results will be too. Except I think for some reason Obscure Store wasn't thought of as topical last year, and everyone knows that Romanesko has a bigger posse than me.

This year, as with last year, no one even let me know I was nominated. This year, as with last year, I feel like my job is to play "bystander #3", an important supporting role but with no chance of living through to the final gripping action scene. Librarians read the site in droves, but they don't know much about the Bloggies.

my bad, jish. i was only looking at one portion of the screen, you know... since i am narcissistic and all, i was looking at the category is was nominated for, and you came up twice on the screen. then when i realized that it was noah grey was nominated 34654 times and not you, it was too late! alas.

I am nominated for best latin american weblog with itzpapalotl. Of course many of you will not understand a word because it's all in spanish, but I feel like the worst of all. Is it just my low self-steem?

is it normal, in awards things, for sites/people/whatever to be nominated in many different categories for the same body of work? there are so many repeats that I don't even feel like voting (except for noah and his amazing photos).
