This post was deleted for the following reason: I don't even know where to start. This is not a very good post for MetaFilter in a number of important ways. -- jessamyn

To laugh or to cry, that is the question.

(The first link works, by the way, the second does not).

Although I agree with the sentiments of Mr. Olbermann’s rant, this FPP is lacking in substance, context if you will.

In other words, where's the beef?

Wait, someone thinks Bush is a liar and a fascist? That's certainly a fresh perspective! Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

Ugh, he called him a Fascist? Really?

Besides, it was senate Democrats Harry Reid and Jay Rockefeller who really pushed this law in the senate. Does Olberman train any ire on them? Without them this law would have no chance, bush has no legislative power.

Plus, Olberman just throws that word out there, without explaining why this particular thing makes the president more 'Fascist' then he already had been. What bush is now is a clown. No one takes him seriously (although people are worried about him bombing Iran or something like that, obviously). But the idea that people are scared by his illogical nonsense is absurd.

What is scary is the fact that so many democrats seem dead set on giving him whatever he wants. Why is that? It can't be because they are actually scared of terrorist attacks. Is it because they're really that scared of the electorate? More likely, they are bought and paid for by the Telecoms and actually like the idea of being able to spy on anyone without a warrant.

Tedious and tendentious, Mr. Olbermann. The only talk show dude with any balls is Bill Maher, who spoke this way in 2001 and was roasted for it.
