How much people matter...

It was 3 months ago (September 28th) that I got hit in the head by a drunk driver. [He also hit me in the legs (my left one) but I think that was just a lucky break.]
He hit me in the shin, which threw me in the air about a foot (according to those who saw it) and then as I came crashing down I broke the fall on my head (which brought the impact to my brain) swelling up the right side, which made me lose power in it. The people who were there and saw the accident thought I was a goner and couldn't even take the number of the car since he was going so fast. I was enjoying the last fast of ramadan that year and had just taken fifty bucks from my dad to go and by the last haleem of the season at around 11:30 pm. On seeing my state one of the by-standers called the emergency service and they sent an ambulance over. They loaded me into it and took me straight to Yashoda hospital which was close by and called up my mom and dad. Looking at me no one thought I had the chance to live, not even the docs who performed surgery on me, but three months later, and I'm proving them all wrong. They had given me 5 months at the most, and its been three months since now--go God! My sisters and all my other relatives supported me in this and now I want to be a better human being for all them, including Mefi of course. [I'm sorry I got cross at you Matt and Jess and cortex when I couldn't remember my Password.]

I knew there was something I was missing! But, on the other hand, you did prove my point: Mefi can be a hard place sometimes; even if you've come back from the dead--you better be on your toes and watch your back!
