Honesty is the best policy According to the latest survey, last year 46% of men and 32% of women admitted to lying to get cheaper cover for their car insurance. According to research done by price comparison network confused.com the numbers have fallen significantly this year with only 17% of men and 12% of women lying. The most common dodge regarded mileage and the second biggest lie was about the cars location during the night.

My experience over the years has been that the agents themselves have tended to facilitate whatever lying went on. They want the policy sale and service. They know how to juggle and fudge the particulars to give you the best price-to-coverage.
