Are shoulder pads required to observe the lunar event?

That old lady totally saved the town from the ersatz Nazis with a TRS-80. Or something.

Shoulder pads maybe, but eye liners is must for both genders.

My son is a fan after I let him watch this classic interpretation from the 2005 tour of Careless Memories

I'm not going to link directly, because it's very NSFW, but I did a Google image search on the woman in the video, Patricia Barzyk, a former Miss France. It seems she had a bit of a career appearing nude in films. Yowza.

But will there be anyone else outside? Please, please tell me now, or else I'll be lonely in my nightmare.

I'd really like my revolution to be led by John Taylor and Simon LeBon.

Let's not forget Nick Rhodes, only begetter of my predilection for eyeliner-wearing men.

Nostalgia for the days when bands and record companies had enough money for this sort of thing! I'm only surprised that it wan't letterboxed. I know at least one of theirs (Wild Boys?) was.

Meanwhile Ken Russell was making Nikita for Elton John

Well TYVM. I just escaped from a YouTube infinite loop of 80s music videos.

I love you and I want to bear your children.

Seriously, I'm not sure I've ever seen the full 17-minute video!

Stunned by how closely the symbol for the fascist regime resembles the Support Our Troops oversized yellow ribbon.

Well, hey! Last night I happened to mention to Mr. epersonae that the new moon was today, and he actually burst out in song. This song. (Which I'll admit I didn't really know.) I'll have to send him these links.

While some may have occurred since I joined MetaFilter, I feel like I've been waiting for YEARS for the moon and the day of the week to line up just so I could post this.

It's been like spending a cold day with a lonely satellite.
