Revisioning Red Riding Hood

Animation veteran Steve Moore recently posted a short from the archives of Disney TV Animation, written by Dan O’Shannon, narrated by Garrison Keillor, and voiced by Mia Farrow, Michael Richards, June Foray, and Adam West, all set to a jazz soundtrack. Take 15 minutes and watch Redux Riding Hood. Steve tells the story of the short on his blog. (Via Cartoon Brew)

Adam West as the Leonard the Fox was the highlight for me.

The blog post provides an interesting backstory to all the production. I want to see more of John Kleber's artwork! I also had to look up what Mr. Moore could have been referring to when he mentions Garrison Keillor's "blow-outs". (I'm still not certain which of the "controversies" on G.K.'s wikipedia page counts as a blowout.)

Wow, that's from '97? I had no idea Disney would do anything that off-the-wall so recently. Wish they'd let themselves go weird like that more often, that was wonderful!
