If you engage with the Beast, you become the Beast. And then sunset.
Well done, but I'd like a cold shower now.

Needs more another dimension, a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind.

War and distopia are bad, minipeople rapidly go wrong, everything is a loop...
Still, it's all good.

Also - Radiohead totally needs to make a musical a la The Wall (only - in their own lovely Radiohead way)...

Perhaps the only time I've ever heard of The Wall referred to as a musical.

I'm not denying that the idea of a 2-disk album which tells a story might be a musical. The historical precedent is strong, although largely stems from actual writers of musicals -- Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Chess... all started as concept albums. Even Les Miserables was originally a double-length concept album.
I've simply never heard it referred to as such before.

The Wall is a musical in the same way a pizza is a vegetable

Tells a story through the medium of song = musical!
While I disagree with the universal nature of this statement, I don't think this is an appropriate derail for this thread. Perhaps another time? Or via MeMail?

Artw: "Tells a story through the medium of song = musical!"Try calling 2112 a musical at a Rush convention.

Musical accompaniment to a film (play/movie) in which singing and dancing (mostly through animation in The Wall's case) play an essential part = Musical = The Wall.

The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars - David Bowie

So you're changing your argument to mean only movies?
That wasn't the point you were arguing earlier.

That isn't pedantry. Either you weren't clear with what you were arguing and I took your words entirely wrong, or something. You said "tells a story through the medium of song = musical". That's how I took it.
Frankly, The Wall is, in my mind, first and foremost an album, second a concert experience, and finally a movie. Perhaps that's not your stance, but seriously... don't accuse me of pedantry just to try to come out on top. I'm doing this in good faith, and feel like the goal posts are being moved.
