Dog House Diaries — we know that web-comics are where all the money and fame is at and we want a piece. It was obvious that in order to be successful in this biz, you need to be good with humor, drawing, math and computers. Well we kick some serious butt at drawing and math so we figured 2 out of 3 wasn’t bad.

So that's 1 for 4?

humor, drawing, math and computers.
[pre-link-click] Huh, an XKCD reference, ok.
[post-click] Yep.

I think the people complain about bad drawing and unfunny cartoons must be accidentally reading Doghouse Diaries instead.

"After he destroyed the fitted sheet factory he was cursed with a life full of miserable sheets-sliding-off-the-bed-nights."

That's the alt-text for How To Fold Fitted Sheets. Not only does it give away the (telegraphed, stretched-out, ridiculous-exaggeration-derived nonhumorous) last frame of the comic, it's phrased awkwardly.

New web comics are fun to hate on. Cheers, here's hoping Dog House Diaries is always improving.

Obviously none of you have TRIED TO FOLD A FITTED SHEET.

My wife does this like it's no big deal. So we have a deal: she folds the fitted sheets and I don't tell the townspeople and have her burnt as a witch.

You have to realize that one of the players is a strine.

Aussies say "mate" a lot, and the guy is actually saying "Check comma mate".

That's the joke. /mcbainvoice

Is this not funny or do I not get it?

Both, possibly.

They've had 3 years. They've moved from 'uhhh' to 'hmmm. mildly amusing maybe, if I wait til I'm really sleepy'.

I mean, yest, that IS improvement, but it's kinda like standing Pisa waiting for the tower to finally fall down...

yest? and what happened to my 'around' between standing and Pisa?

Oh god the comics made me dumberer.

This is one of those comics that, they make a ton of them, more than you'd ever want to read, and if one crosses a certain threshold to the point where you could crack a smile, it'll turn up on another blog you follow.

I've read quite a few Doghouse Diaries strips this way and so my overall estimation of them is probably skewed positive.

See also, Abstruse Goose.

I unsubscribed from xkcd's rss feed (and all the other ones that it bred) because of the phenomenon that Straw Cab mentioned above. If more than five people i follow online reference it, i consider taking a look.

Except for the oatmeal, i don't care how many people link to it.

"There’s three of us last time we all sat down for a headcount" - the comic's about page

Comics like that annoy me. There's so many webcomics out there with great art and writing...and then there's crap comics like this that don't even try. Come on people, there's better stuff out there!
