I always wonder how long these tumblrs last. This one's got 27 posts across 2 pages since September 27. How much longer will they go before getting bored or running out of images? Hmmm.

Ah, the good ole days, back before society's standards of beauty became wholly unrealistic. I mean, look at these cats, they look like the cat-next-door, not some Fancy Feast commercial starlets appearing on the cover of Cat Fancy. These are what real cats look like.

Tumblr is the home of one-hit-wonder blogs. It's what happens when you make it really easy to start a blog. Sort of like Geocities, but prettier for the most part.

Oh wow, given the internet's track record with gay based humour I was really worried about that latest Louis vs. Rick and was scared it was going to make me stop liking it. Crisis averted, it was excellent. I want pizza too.

Thanks, thanks a lot. Left the page open while I ran to take a shower to get ready for work and came back out to see my little buddy having a private moment. Not only was it icky, but now he refuses to talk to me.

I know that you're making a joke - but I recently was googling images of the Three Graces (wanted to see if I could find a guide to who was who in Botticelli's Three Graces and Venus), and I was struck by how very plump the goddesses were. It wasn't just a passing fashion, as I'd thought before - for hundreds of years (Botticelli is 1400s, you see these images into the 1700s) goddesses and other idealised women had heavy amounts of fat and cellulite.
In comparison, the pin-up girls are skinny :)

Obviously, I'm going to heed the NSFW warning, but it took me a second to realize that this was one of those "side-by-side" type things, and not just a Tumblr full of cats in awkward poses and bikinis made by cruel owners. "How are cats NSWF?" I wondered.

Which is a shame, because I'm not sure I'm prepared to make the emotional investment in cats that look like pinup girls unless I'm confident that I'll have several week's worth of continually updated entertainment from it.
