Uri Alon, professor of molecular cell biology at the Weizmann Institute of Science, gives a lecture on the subjective and emotional sides of doing science at CalTech, complete with guitar.
Alon is one of my scientific heroes. For anyone (like myself) who would otherwise be inclined to dismiss this as a bunch of hippy woo, know that Alon is a total beast.

Also, this couldn't have come at a better time for me, as I'm trying to modulate my response to my undergrad research student's productivity somewhere along the axis of:
"Take all the time you need to resolve your personal problems: a happy scientist is a productive scientist"
and
"The Beatings will Continue Until Morale Improves"
