Dodge is cute. Giving him old roast beef?

Scruff doesn't mind old roast beef, and he's way cuter that this weird tunnel-cat.

Dodge is right, also lucky.

The tunnel's operators have no idea how the adventurous feline – nicknamed "Dodge" – ended up deep in the Burnley (eastbound) tunnel

Who knows how a cat gets anywhere?

"Ms Nicholas said no one had the faintest idea how Dodge ended up three-quarters of the way inside the tunnel."

Maybe Dodge knows that you walk against traffic (not with it), and he was actually only one-quarter of the way into the tunnel...?

Dodge was entrusted to the care of the Lost Dogs Home

I am not sure a Dogs Home, lost or not, would be the best environment for an impressionable kitten. he could learn bad habits, like barking and eating his own poop.

The first 2 seconds of that video were too stressful and I had to turn it off. Even though I know he's okay! Oh my god, that big truck rushing by the tiny kitty.

I don't understand why they messed around for so long trying to grab him and didn't just put a cardboard box or some important papers down.

Incidentally, a good friend and former housemate got his cat from the Lost Dogs Home. Said cat did have (and still does have) some bad habits, but thankfully neither poop eating or barking. Though waking me up at 4 every morning did get a little annoying.

Who knows how a cat gets anywhere?

This was the actual objective of Schrödinger's famous experiment. Technically, they open portals in space-time; essentially traveling inter-dimensionally and briefly existing in two time-places at once.

It involves quantum entanglement.

Also puking.

They were lucky it was only a cat. In Switzerland, they have Pine Martens.

Interestingly, at the beginning of that video, Dodge is a mixed breed moggie. By the end, he's very clearly a van cat.

He looks more like Oliver than Dodger.

Of course it's the goalie that finally catches the pine marten. (PS: Pine martens are adorable.)

"Ms Nicholas said no one had the faintest idea how Dodge ended up three-quarters of the way inside the tunnel."

Really? Not the faintest idea? Not trying to be cynical, but I assume the same way most kittens end up along the sides of roads -- some assholes threw it out of their car nearby either as a joke, a moronic attempt at euthanasia, or simply regarding an unwanted pet as trash to be discarded.

Agreed that the video was stressful to watch...

I love how at the end, big burly rescuer dude is sitting basically in the middle of the road, blocking traffic, with the widdle kitty-cat in his lap, all who's-a-cute-kitty-yes-you-are!!!

Okay. Okay. Maybe, just maybe, there's hope for the human race yet.

Who knows how a cat gets anywhere?

We've lived in this house for 3 years and don't know how one of our cats gets in. Our house is built into a hill. We have a cat flap leading onto the deck which is 16 feet above the ground. The cat goes in and out umpteen times a day. Often he'll beg to be let out the front door and then he'll reappear in the house 2 minutes later. Sometimes we'll hear him running across the roof and then thump onto the deck. I assume he's climbing a tree but in 3 years we haven't seen him do it.

Kitty update!

Dodge has a new home I know Phil, and was thrilled to see this on Facebook this afternoon. Dodge has found an awesome home and I hope he & Phil have many years of happy adventures together.
