"God's Away on Business" was special to me because I was working a job at a failing company that I couldn't quit, so it matched my feelings pretty well. This one is pretty good, too.

It's a great song, and who doesn't love Waits as the big CM, but God's Away on Business still reigns supreme in my mind.

The awesome of Cookie Monster + the awesome of Tom Waits = super mega awesome. The lip syncing is so great... They even gave Cookie a meth shiver!

I hadn't heard this song before, and god damn. Waits is 63 freaking years old, and he still rocks harder than most dudes half his age.

LEFT!

RIGHT!

LEFT!

God, YouTube, really?

Yeah, and it works just fine in the browser if the YouTube app is removed. So. Thanks Google.

(Works fine in the nifty MeFi preview.)

Awesome. Just the concept is enough to get a chuckle out of me but this is surprisingly well done too.

first: fantastic video.

second: uh, civil comments on youtube? equally amazing.

third: "It's a laborious process, and some of the steps are quite tedious :) I estimate that this new one took between 550 and 600 hours (spread over a 7-8 month period), and the first one was more like 300 hours over a 4 month period." wow.
