My cat is currently trying to do that, but it's more because the goldfish bowl has goldfish in it than for reasons of comfort...

I had a friend in fifth grade who kept sea monkeys, and she had a little plastic globe necklace that she could pour some sea monkeys into and wear like jewelry throughout the day.
I'm glad that kitties have finally caught up to this scientific breakthrough.
Now, to find a necklace chain strong enough...

When he resettles in the bowl, then pokes his head out, to me it looks like he's saying "Ugh turn off that goddam videogame or tv show or whatever the hell it is you're listening to and leave me the fuck alone so I can sleep." And he'd have every right to say that, because OH MY GOD THE CUTE.

Cats have to revert to liquid state every 16 hours in order to regenerate. It's very private, and these humans should not be interfering.

When I left the house this morning Yorvit was curled up on my pillow, despite the fact that I'd arranged my pillows so that he would not sleep on them. He defeated me. I am used to it.

That is the cutest and most effective way of dusting one's fishbowls that I've ever seen. If you'll pardon me, I have some objets d'art that I'll have to see if my kittens can fit into. (Willow is mostly obsessed with a bucket she's getting too large for, and Giles just likes to sprawl out.)

I hate those so much you simply could not comprehend
I was responsible for coding on the Popples Christmas Adventure video game in 1986 and let me tell you their creative approvals team were enormously difficult to work with. I lost count of the number of times we had to Delta Dash them a floppy for them to review a one or two pixel art change. I shit you not. That project resulted in me and another guy staying in a hotel next to our office so we could work 36 hour days and crash for 12, for four weeks (because Christmas is a deadline that can't move). During the last crush I stayed awake for 56 hours solid and on the way back to the hotel after final approval I walked straight into a concrete telephone pole.

I do like they open with cat in bowl, then are careful to demonstrate that in fact that was not cat stuffed in bowl, but cat determined to be in bowl.
