Please tell me that I'm not the only horrible person who nearly puked from laughing at this.

You're a mean, mean person.

....

Funny though.

I laughed like an idiot. And fervently wish techno music would start playing every time my cat pukes, to drown out the wretched disgusting noise he makes.

My son thinks I'm a sick, sick person for showing him that but it made me laugh.

I wanted to post it to Facebook, but wiser heads prevailed. Hilarious.

I didn't want to laugh. I refused to laugh. And then cat #3 happened.

I now feel compelled to apologize to my own three cats.

Cat #4 is the one that kills me every time.

Mr. has a co-worker who listens to wretchedly horrible techno all day. He has nicknamed him "Oonce Charming."

I am certain he will find this amusing.

That was without a doubt one of the very best cat puking to techno music videos that I've ever seen.

That delivered. (err, so to speak)

AHA! it was NOT what is said on the tin, there was no actual "puking" (defined as "1. The act of vomiting", with "vomiting" defined as "Eject matter from the stomach through the mouth"). There is, in fact a lot of "retching" (defined as "strong involuntary effort to vomit").

This post, therefore, violates the MetaFilter "What It Says On The Tin" rule number 1. Shame on you!

OK, the last one actually puked, but.....the use of the plural "cats" as opposed to "cat" allows my objection to stand....

And here I thought that the cutting away before the "money shot" in most of the clips was a feature, not a bug.

That cat wasn't choking on a hair ball.

It was a

(Wait for it)

Dead mouse.

Don't worry, Jacqueline, this violation is an odd technicality of a little known rule. You were actually in more danger for using the phrase "what it says on the tin", people have been tarred and feathered for that! We're not banning you this time, but don't let it happen again.

cutting away before the "money shot"

otherwise known as vomitus interruptus?

Is there a dubstep version? Or maybe cats cannot carry on the actual puke for long enough?

...I have no one to blame but myself.

My current cat hardly ever pukes. Sometimes I wonder if there's something wrong with her.

Maybe she's just really good at hiding it.

My cat has taught herself to puke (most of the time) in her litter box. (She's very old, so she has a lot of practice.)

There was one set of visible results in that compilation from the last cat, who was obviously doing its best to back up to the carpet for the money shot, but didn't get there in time. I'm sure that never happened again.

I leapt off the couch and ran to the kitchen to grab paper towels.

You know the formula, right?

X= Time in seconds that cat spends retching prior to actual puking.

Y= Time in seconds it takes YOU to run to the kitchen, rip off a paper towel and return to retching cat.

X=Y-1 Every.Single.Time

and then there is "Z". Z= Relative value of object/rug/surface under retching cat. I'm sure that factors in the formula, but I'm not that good at math and the math teacher wife is still sleeping.

Don't take the rarity of your cat puking for granted- it will come.

Things are balanced in my house. I have one cat that purse right after eating, and one who hovers it up promptly. It's great as long as you don't spend too long thinking about it.

As with Justin Bieber, my puke response is triggered by Auto-Tune. It's a Canadian thing.
Oh, and Happy Birthday Canada!

ok I'll be That Person and say that I got a serious talk from my vet about how often my cat pukes. Turned out she had a food allergy and we changed the food and now she only pukes if she goes after the basil plants.
The more you know (music goes doodely do do do)

Sure, though I would think most folks in MeFi cat threads probably take their cats to the vet regularly, where this would (should) be a standard question. Lots of serious conditions can be indicated by an increase in a cat's (otherwise routine) vomiting.

This truly was what Techno music was invented for.
Fun Fact: I also puke when listening to techno music.

I have no idea how these people got their cats to puke to techno, or why.

A lifetime of cat ownership has convinced me that the backup action is so that the results will be precisely the length of a human foot.

I suppose the original bouvin found has better footage, and presumably makes Minecraftsuper2 a plagiarist, although maybe he improved the syncing.

Also the dubstep version takes a somewhat different approach.
