Crank up the Henry Mancini. At Baby Elephant GIFs, one of reddit's fastest growing new communities, over 20,000 Elephanthusiasts come together to share the joy of puerile pachyderms figuring out how to charge and how to eat, among other important life lessons.

Can they slide across the floor into boxes? I think not. Baby elephants, you are going to have to try a little harder.

I got sent my first Baby Elephant Buzzfeed today.
It was so cute.
Is this what it feels like to be hip?

Every time I come across a baby elephant gif in passing on reddit, I send it on to my partner, a mad keen baby elephant fan. I dare not sent her to this subreddit though, as her head may explode.

I subscribed to that subreddit the other day. It has a seemingly inexhaustible supply of baby elephant gifs. Who knew there were so many? I mean, millions of people who have cameras live with cats--that's not the case for elephants.
And yet, the subreddit is a neverending stream of them, and I have yet to see a repeat.
Whence this trove of delight? Whence these thousands of gifs of baby elephants?

I've heard elephant rights activist folks use the term "elefriends/elephriends."

Elephans
Elephicionados, surely. Not to be confused with Elephanadoes, which are like Sharkanadoes, only more land-focused.
