I had a cat which totally put up with this kind of thing. We used to dance with him more than play drums specifically, but it was pretty similar (we put clothes on him too). When you stopped he'd just loll about on your lap and look up asking for a pat. All attention was positive attention as far as he was concerned. Actually, his sister would also put up with some of this kind of thing and had an awesome belly dance routine, and his other sister just did a hedgehog-roll-up manoeuvre and pretended it all wasn't happening.
This guy looks totally chill and probably is enjoying the attention.

Yah, that cat is calm and relaxed. He doesn't understand anything about what is going on, but he's totally cool with that.
It always seems like those big grey cats (a British Shorthair?) are super mellow kitties.
I love the drum pedal bits.
