"I used a brush to paint on Modge Podge, smoothed out the paper as I went, adding small strips to cover all the metal. When the glue dried, I covered it with three coats of Modge Podge, waiting for about 15 minutes between each coat. I let this harden completely before spraying the whole thing with Krylon triple thick glaze to seal it." Things I Make - The Decoupage Bike

I saw a number of decoupage bikes in Italy this year, and thought it would be cool to try. Nice to see the howto!

Great bike hacks! I just added storage to my bike by mounting a Rubbermaid 3-gal Roughneck to the top of the rear rack. I attached it with four medium-length screws and wingnuts for easy removal, with eight fender washers to distribute stress and clamp to the top of the rack.

If you use a final clearcoat that has a UV inhibitor it should cut down on image fading of the pictures.

I've been using an ugly, old cane because of a torn meniscus. I was wondering how to jazz it up and now I'm going to decoupage it! Excellent post, thanks.
