those spice cones seem super spilly if you ever need to actually get some spice from them

Shouldn't it be called "things arranged purposefully"? They're not actually organised!

(Also, I'm reminded of how my brother took one of those boxes with little drawers for keeping screws in and disassembled all our Lego people and filed their body parts.)

Has he been the subject of one of those real-crime documentaries yet?

You can if they're dead. Living things are just huge entropy sources anyway, increasing the total disorder of the universe for their own private amusement.

Dip Flash: Has he been the subject of one of those real-crime documentaries yet?

One time when I was newly married, my best friend was in town for a visit, so he got to see my face when I walked into the apartment and noticed that my dear, beloved wife had re-arranged my books by the color of their spines.

I boggled, he almost burst his eyeballs trying not to laugh, and she wondered why I wasn't more excited.

Ah, love, that forgives all.

this is also deeply, primordially satisfying

I was deeply satisfied to discover that a specific subset of this laying out of things has a name: Knolling.

re-arranged my books by the color of their spines.

When I described to my SO that I wanted to take my wall-of-books and scan the isbns into a database, then turn the books around and make my wall a glorious wash of various shades of white, ivory and cream, she gave me the side-eye and said

"You're a serial killer, aren't you?"

Amen.

I took a picture of one of my parts storage boxes that I had out. To me that is what organized is.

I dunno, the content of each compartment looks pretty disorganized. I'm sure Herr Wehrli could do something about that.

Until you realise they don't actually fit perfectly - not only is there a tiny gap at the top, it's an uneven gap :-(

LOL. Most of the pictures give me anxiety because there are too many *things* in each image. Like really, someone just took piles of stuff and arranged it so it looks like less of a pile.
