The Kipper Kids are Harry and Harry Kipper, one character played simultaneously by two people. He certainly are an entertaining people since 1971. • 32-minute performance at The University Art Museum, 1979 • Kipper Kids channel on Youtube • Excerpts from "Your Turn to Roll It #54" (via their Facebook Page [NSFW]), which they also performed on Bette Midler's Mondo Beyondo [pbhffhhrthiously]
Excellent choice for Keep MeFi Weird Month!

It says something that the 4 seconds of screen time they have in UHF is the weirdest part of a very weird movie by Weird Al. In the commentary or an interview I read Al talked about his fascination with them and how they filmed a longer scene that had to be cut for some reason. I finally got to see it this morning on their YouTube channel thanks to this post. This kept MeFi weird indeed.

They do some synchronized boxing in 'The Forbidden Zone'.
I also vaguely recall the Kippers make an appearance in a 70's Life Magazine photo essay on modern art.

Yes, ovvl. In fact, lets link to the Harrys' scene in FORBIDDEN ZONE, which is perhaps the greatest scene in the history of cinema. We're all barraged with links these days, and with people wanting you to watch their videos, but this is it, the real deal. This is the one you should watch. Click it.

They were the cover of a late-1980s annual "Best Of" LA Weekly but I can't find it online.

God I loved Mondo Beyondo. I've been slowly seeding a torrent of Bette Midler laserdisc transfers for years specifically to keep that special alive.
