Newborn fawns are fitted with expanding radio collars to track their movements as they learn to walk. Radio active?

Its brief and sanitary but as there are people who love-love animals, TW for a brief shot of presumably dead fawn. We can all wish very hard its unfortunate v/o timing and the deer just resting :(

I totally want some GIS plots: deer go here and then they go here. My google-fu is only able to turn up hunting links and a powerpoint behind an ad wall :(

I believe that the fawn (do you mean the one lying down at 1:30?) really is just resting.

They are radio collars, not GPS collars so no fine tracking like that would be available. Radio collars help you find the animal they don't record it a movements.

The fawn at 1:30 is definitely not dead. It's just playing dead or maybe mildly sedated.

First reaction: Yay! Fawns!

30 seconds later: Imagine Dragons? Is there a single YouTube clip that has ever been improved by the addition of music (other than "Yakety Sax")?

I need one of these for my deer. He's under 1 year, and wanders freely, but shows up for handouts and company, and affection, most days. He stopped taking a bottle a couple months ago. Loves carrots and fruit. We hope he is socializing with other deer, but don't know. They don't reject him outright, his first encounters were here in our sight, with a friendly pair around his age.

I assure you, its total lack of movement is due to it being tired and shagged out following a prolonged bleat.

It's pretty much just this [previously].

I mean ... I found the music amusing. Now their radio collar is active! Whee! Bounce bounce, I'm a very small deer.

thanks for posting this. I'm finding that with the relentless gnar of 2016, all I can handle mentally is cute animal videos.
