"I think we could have used less sandwich meat with better nesting"

I recently discovered that the key to a truly amazing grilled ham and cheese sandwich is brown deli mustard, applied before grilling. This has nothing to do with lasers or Vin Diesel; I just wanted to share this knowledge with you.

The last 20 seconds totally made it worth watching this.

My dad taught me that. It was the one thing he cooked that wasn't breakfast.

Faint of Butt would be a good name for a sandwich. And the secret, of course, is putting the mayo on the outside (in addition to using good mustard). Not laser cutting your lunch meat might be a close third though.

This is really wonderful. Deli ham is just so repugnant looking to begin with, and it looks so terrible as it's being cut, that the final product is somehow more appetizing.

"Do not look directly into laser with remaining ham."

Mayo does make for a nice crunchy brown crust, but in my opinion you can't beat the flavor of butter for frying. My fave is Publix brand mountain bread with thick american on one side, equally thick muenster on the other and chopped tomatoes and ham (quickly sauteed in butter) in the middle. Serve with spicy ramen noodles and cold domestic beer for ultimate collegiate experience.
