Since it's 4/20 I may as well quote the lyrics of Clutch:
Well I don’t know if I’m coming or going
If it’s them or me
But one things for certain, Willie Nelson
only smokes the killer weed

"Since there have been so many internet rumors of his impending death over the years, he makes a wry joke of his mortality in "Still Not Dead," the album's most energetic number."
Reminds me of a certain Townes Van Zandt album.
Good find, thanks!

Was suspicious of that too... so I looked up a concert vid of him from 2016 and uh, nope.
I am by no stretch of the imagination a fan of country, but hat's off to Willie.

Nah, this is full of weird tuning artifacts (and probably sounds worse than his real voice). I have nothing against vocal tuning, but it ought to be transparent, and this isn't.

"I woke up still not dead again today, the news said again to my dismay. Don't bury me, I've got a show to play, I woke up still not dead again today."
Agreed, this is the most upbeat track on the album.
Also, "Delete and Fast Forward" is going to be added to my mottos for 2017. "Delete and fast forward, my friend. The wars are all over, and no one wins. But don't worry to much, it'll drive you crazy again.... The elections are over and nobody won. When you think it's all ended, it's just setting in, so delete and fast forward my friend."

Years ago, when I lived in Austin, my mother came to visit. We were having coffee in the Little City Café downtown, when I found myself saying "mom, don't be too surprised, but Willie Nelson is behind you riding a horse down Congress Avenue.
Every time my mom visited, I tried to show her something she's never seen before. Thank you, Mr. Nelson.

I neglected to mention that I have an abiding love for Willie for a whole lot of reasons, but two in particular: I had a grandmother named Lucille who loved the song by that name; and my in-laws claim that (eww) my wife was conceived in the afterglow of a Willie Nelson concert.

From the Metafilter country police: Lucille is Kenny Rogers.

Huh. Did Willie do it at some point? Wow. How bout that.
If you tell me To All the Girls I've Loved Before is Kenny Rogers and Trini Lopez, though, I'm calling shenanigans.

Waylon Jennings also had a song called Lucille, maybe it's that one?

Waylon's is just a cover of the Little Richard original.
