Interestingly, the precursor to the motorized school bus was the "kid hack", a horse-drawn vehicle used for transporting children to school. And now we've come full circle with these bus hacks for kids.

U.S. school bus circa 1912: Buses have come a long way since then.

Not really; there was still that one jerk kid who stuck gum in other kids' hair.

Plus: People being super creative with bringing educational and nutritional opportunities to kids who would otherwise go without.

Minus: People's reluctance to fund proper educational facilities to start with, which creates the needs these hacks fill.

I love these! I wanna ride on Artie!

(And then part of me gets depressed and angry that these are necessary because we can somehow find millions of dollars to fling some pointless missiles at Syria, but can't manage to adequately fund art education for our nation's kids. Grrrrr.)

But yay Artie!!!
