I love most Native American art. If only I lived closer and could afford to spend the 2 days there without going broke.

I was able to attend the Market a couple of years ago and found it unforgettable. The confluence of creativity is astounding, and there's everything from the highest expressions of fine traditionally based artwork to cutting-edge contemporary. The stage displays of traditional regalia and contemporary fashion were all showstopping.
As far as affordability? There was a lot, a real lot, of great artwork there that feel between $20-100 per piece. If you get a chance, just go.

Hotel rooms near Santa Fe are very cheap. A lot of people go to Indian Market with budgets of $100 and under, and the artists have plenty to sell them. Go. It's well worth it.

Darn it! I avoided it this year because it's generally pretty crazy (what with the city doubling in size and all, and the Indian Market being a relatively small area in Santa Fe), but just now I see that there was a Native Cinema Showcase presented in coordination with the National Museum of the American Indian and the Southwestern Association for Indian Arts.
