For those in need of a 2018-strength unicorn chaser, today's Google Doodle celebrates the 51st anniversary of the first episode of Mr. Rogers' Neighborhood.
*sigh* We need this man now more than ever. Last year I changed my .sig to be "Be the person Mr. Rogers knew you could be." to keep him in the front of people's mind.
Which reminds me: can anyone help a brother out?

First, this was lovely.
But, I didn't like him cheering up the boy by giving him a paper crane. Mr Rogers advocated that it was okay to feel sad (and mad and scared and happy). I don't know how they'd depict that, but the "sad boy, quick fix" didn't jive.
Finally, still, this was lovely.

wenestvedt, there are auto-generators, if you look for "obama hope poster generator app" or "shepard fairey image generator"; here's one made via lunapic

I discovered this earlier today while taking a break from a heinous task for work. And at the first notes of the theme I legit teared up.
