OK, who else cried?

I'm not into Hamilton, but hearing Obama's voice made me really sad for times past. To think: a President who sounded presidential?

I normally never go near Youtube comments, but the top one is gold:

obama is the ex that's doing way better than you, just living their best life with a new gym body and cooler friends

I hope they post a video for this one. (For some of the other Hamildrops, the audio was posted first and then the video on a later date.)

I keep bouncing between "This is really well produced" and "This feels like the most Aaron Sorkin-fantasy esque thing I've seen in a long time".

Like, I hear the allure and the charm, but it also feels hollow knowing what that collective desire papered over.

Yeah, I actually couldn't listen to the whole thing: it's just too painful.

I wasn't expecting to cry, but I did. That had to be a dream for Lin-Manuel Miranda. What a perfect way to end the Hamildrops.

(The biblical "vine and fig tree" line makes me smile every time. Someday I'll be able to sit under my own vine and me tree...)

It made me cry too. I remember listening to the cast recording version of this song on the last day of his presidency and just breaking down. It's so nice to hear Obama say the words now.

I listened to that recording (for the umpteenth time) immediately before I went to go vote in 2016. I'm not sure why I cried - I had no real reason to think then that we'd be where we are today. But cry I did. I think about that a lot.

I bawled, then passed the box of tissues to my husband because he was too. Oof.

Can also apply to Mrs. O. -- did you catch her in those thigh-high Balenciaga boots?
