"Enter Sandman" with Saturday Night Fever was pretty nice.

John Travolta in three of them! And somehow I still could not bring myself to watch Titanic again, even for a 90-second fun clip.

The Dirty Dancing one was so well-timed. I'm dying.

dankeschoen, bitteschoen! These are great.
(And yes, the timing on some of these is really magnificent.)

Some of these work better than others, but the Grease Lighting scene to β€œHappy” was just about perfect.

Yes these are fantastic. My favorite part though was the final frozen frame of Grease.

Molly Ringwald is doing Shakin' Stevens' signature dance there, in the breakfast club. Genius.

My daughter's theatre club just did a "best of Grease" show so she knows all the moves to Grease Lightning. I showed her that clip, and she's right in that it works so well because the two songs don't just match tempo but also vibe. Great post.

I either didn't know the movie or the song for most of these but they're delightful!! but fuck spiderman 3 x 50 cent made me ugly laugh

Dirty Dancing works so much better this way!

I've never seen 500 Days of Summer, but no one will ever convince me that's not actually what they were dancing about.

Spoiler: That’s what they were dancing about

I've had a kind of shitty day mental-health wise, and this was exactly what I needed. Deep, deep joy.

Crispin Glover doing his weird spasmodic skank in Friday 13th to AC/DC is exactly the deep-cut mashup that I needed to see tonight.

Most movies are filmed with temp music tracks so this makes you wonder how different these films could have been with different musical choices in post-production. For instance, Staying Alive wasn't even written until after the movie wrapped production.

Yeah, the Dirty Dancing one is just glorious.

Linkin Park set to that scene from Singing In The Rain completely changes the mood of the song from "nothing matters :(" to "nothing matters lmao" and I love it

Oh, those are funny, and I'd just watched this 1920's piano version of Bad Guy.

The Singin' in the Rain one validates the existence of Linkin Park.

IT vs Outkast is fantastic. Since I’m never, ever watching the movie (scaredy cat), can anyone tell me what the real sound is in that scene?

I never knew how much I needed to see Swayze jam to House of Pain before.

Saturday Night Fever to Metallica was a godsend. The next time I go dancing I'm going to blow some minds.

This is the absolute best. And, uh, Hugh Grant in Love, Actually isn't too far off from how I dance to 'bad guy'

Circus music played on a calliope, of course.

Spider Man/50 Cent is incredibly awkward. Great, but awkward.

Ooooh, creepy. Thank you. That confirms that I’m never watching it (IT).

I'm not sure this is exactly the music from that scene, but it gets the right feeling for sure.

this post on u/sharedBPM 4 months ago did the same with 500 days of summer / just had sex, but I think it's a better sync because his hand goes up at the beginning right on "sex"

all the ones people have pointed out here are pretty great. I also really enjoyed Chris Pratt dancing to Hanson

also it would be a disservice to not point out this post from the subreddit with the Bet On It scene from High School Musical 2 using Let It Go from Frozen

The author has collected all videos in a Twitter moment so it’s easier to share

And thanks for the pointer to the subreddit, I didn’t know about it!

UPDATE: unfortunately the videos were taken down by Twitter, the author of these mashups, Lewis Wake, received a few notices about copyright violations, so he’s going to delete all those tweets and only tweet links to his Youtube channel where he’s still able to publish the videos. *sigh*
