Guys Beg The Neighbor To Let Them Play With Their Dog, Get A Hilarious Response From ‘The Pup’ A very sweet story from the UK: four guys see a dog and want to make a new friend, so they leave a letter for the good boy/girl. Much to their excitement, the dog responds -- and her name is Stevie Ticks!

I have a German Shepherd/Labrador mix too - I've never heard the term "Sheprador" before. I wonder if that's a UK thing? Anyway, they truly are the best dogs.

Who ever heard of an engineer sending a letter like that? Are we sure one of them isn’t really a project manager?

Stevie Ticks is a great name. Only topped by Bark Obama.

I really appreciate getting periodic access to other people's dogs; we have a couple indoor cats and we don't really have room in our yard or in the structure of our lives right now to incorporate a dog, and so the doses of borrowed dog time I get end up being valuable 13/10 experiences. The incoming OH HEY IT'S YOU enthusiasm walking into someone's house is just...good. Wholesome as fuck and deeply mutual.

If you don't have a friendly neighborhood dog to borrow, most animal shelters are always looking for volunteers to help walk and socialize animals. It can make a big difference in their adoptability.

"I am friendly and full of beans!" is such a delightful turn of phrase.

Lovely story. And a wonderful way to get to know the neighbours.

When I was 7 the neighbour's cat wrote me a letter asking me to feed it while the humans were away. It brought me so much joy.
