European software recruiter Honeypot has put together a few quality short documentaries on open source products. [MLYT] Elixir, Ember.js, GraphQL, and most recently, Vue.js.

Pepsi blue warning: there is a bit of recruiter advertising in the documentaries (I am not affiliated), but the content is well put together.

That name has some ... unsavory connotations. Not just the ones in Urban Dictionary, either.

Reminds me of the temp agency I worked for that was named Esne.

What are the unsavory connotations? I can't be the only one who's unaware.

In IT, a honeypot is a system meant to attract (and track or trap) malicious entities: hackers, bots, and so on.

Oh, it goes way beyond that. The Urban Dictionary says it's a euphemism for female genitalia. My first encounter with the term was as an ironic name for the place that septic-tank-pumping trucks deposited their loads and that's the first one that comes to my mind.

Probably time to leave off the derail. Sorry for the intrusion.

Vue.js link got borked (mouseover shows extra https://). it works as-is (for me anyhow). It looks like YT ignores the added https part.

Honey pot also refers to a female spy drawing a target/possible informant to the other side with offered (or real) sexual favors. Think Red Sparrow.

Yes that's the meaning from which the ICT related one was derived.

Presumably originally related to beekeeping, or trapping Bears of Little Brain or something
