Recreating childhood photos, set to Simple Plan's "I'm Just a Kid"
The basic idea has been done before, but the addition of video and the song chorus is fun (if not wearing after a while). And some of the entries are surprisingly emotional, given the short length.
Another compilation (some duplicates)
The band posted a compilation of their own favorites, playing the song straight through, which is maybe not as jarring, but kind of breaks the spirit, I think.

Playing the song straight through means I keep my sound on the whole time, but the first compilation was better. I don't normally like videos but I found this mesmerising. My daughter kept wanting to know what was so funny and I'm like, I'm still watching. (She has offered to recreate a photo, so maybe we'll do one sometime.) I love how dedicated people are to being the baby or toddler they were. Truly impressive.

This month the Dutch Data Protection Authority opened an investigation into TikTok. Since TikTok is funneling uniquely-identifying IDs, search terms, sharing, etc. to Beijing today, they're likely breaching the EU GDPR. Let's see if anything happens.
