Bjork as mushrooms

I’m always impressed by how spot-on the usual “[celebrity] as [object]” thread is, but this, this is just spookily accurate.

Imagine if this was really the other way around. Bjork going to her fashion designers each time saying "I want to look like this mushroom. Exactly like it!"

Thought I was over x as y posts, but this one feels almost intentional. We need a Bjork Mycology Fashion line.

Her looks are never bsporing.

Why would it be hard to believe that Bjork would NOT specifically dress like a mushroom? I mean, there's an entire series of videos of Isabella Rossellini costumed as various animals and talking about them having sex. Celebrities have the budget to do things, and Bjork has proven again and again that she makes esoteric choices. More than a few of these seem to be VERY deliberate.

Lichen are not mushrooms! Hair ice, although caused by a fungus, is also not a mushroom.

oh! If you like mushrooms, i recently came across a design challenge called Smaugust, where people draw dragons in August, and this artist, Xavier Collette, did them all mushroom themed. If you scroll down a lil bit you can see them. The Hericium erinaceus was my favorite.

the threadreader link was not working for me, just showing a vertical series of dots, and it was making me feel stupid, so i found the actual twitter thing and it's here: https://twitter.com/bernoid/status/1352792810039160832

As an aside I love (no wait the other thing) this cycle of how a bad UI leads to a new interpretive layer that then breaks somehow and end up even less usable than the original bad UI.

Those photos of mushrooms are such a good match, it's almost hard to tell which one is the composer and which is the decomposer.

New challenge -- viewing images of Bjork as mushrooms while on mushrooms.

I heard Bjoerk is working with Stipe on a remix of Julio Iglesias's To All the Gills I've Loved Before. A doff of the cap to both of them!

This is very obviously the correct interpretation.
I miss Bjork. (Should I, though? I'm not great at keeping up with things, what do I need to check out?)

I miss Bjork.

Me too, she's a fun gal.

She’s decidedly into fungi, so it’s definitely intentional. (I wonder of there’s been an instance of her impersonating her near-namesake.)

Oh, this is great! Bjork, mushrooms and parallels all!

I'm just sorry the <small> tag is deprecated around these parts. My puns, unlike Bjork's lyrics, are really too poor to bellow.
