In the year 2021, when we've all been locked in and closed off, it's time to Leave the Door Open and allow Silk Sonic to save the day. (SLYT)
Who is Silk Sonic, you ask? Superstar Bruno Mars, and deserves-to-be-a-superstar Anderson .Paak (who toured together in past years) have joined forces to save the world with this gorgeously retro track. "Both the song and the arrangement are pitch-perfect, with swooning strings, honeyed backing vocals and even a glockenspiel — think Delfonics, the Chi-Lites and basically everything on the Philadelphia International label"
Bootsy Collins named the duo, and also emcees the rest of the album, which is promised later this year. But you can catch their Grammy performance this weekend (boosted by a fake Twitter beef just for fun. Come through, indeed!
