Thanks for this! I love Stop!! Hibari-kun! and his illustration style in general.

I really enjoyed this, thanks for posting. Once Mangadex is back up I'll finally get around to reading Stop!! Hibari-kun!. I read a lot of moeblob manga, but I really like his more realistic art style. I wonder what he charges for illustration work?

I've been watching a lot of 4K walking videos from around Tokyo, and I've noticed something that is a key point in this video - that there are a lot of small bookstores still in business. Here in Atlanta I have to drive 17 miles one way to get to the nearest Barnes & Noble, so I'd love to live somewhere where I could just, you know...walk to several bookstores.

In a similar vein, I recommend Urasawa Naoki's interview with Akiko Higashimura (Princess Jellyfish, Tokyo Tarareba Girls, Blank Canvas) to get another glimpse of a mangaka's creative process.

Enjoyed his tour around Jimbōchō, a part of Tokyo packed to the gills with secondhand books and records.

Funny thing about Jimbōchō is that you never see foreigners there, even though there are piles of English language books for sale. It's a bit of a hidden secret.

I know that not every aspect of Japan is wonderful and beautiful...but it sure looks that way in this video! Just the video itself is gorgeous, but the subject matter is interesting too.

Lovely. I don’t read much at a but enjoyed the tour of non-touristy Tokyo.
