Storrer really do push the limits. Find parkour amazing - treating all surface as malleable, human's exploring (and expanding) limits with no tech other than good shoes, cunning and disdain for rules.

Love seeing how youth+parkour play with landscape/architecture that was often expressly designed to be unfriendly/unplayable.

I'm not looking forward to the neutered version of this sport the Olympics will no doubt come up with. Lovely video though.
Also, REMIT NOT PAUCITY.

I was thinking it reminded me a little bit of some sci fi stories I've read. I got thisfeeling of living in a simulation where sonly some parts of consciousness are simulated with all detail, taking shortcuts with the rest. Seeing how precisely the body movements look in different environments got me thinking about using some kind of memoization strategy to "render" the subjective experience of something computationally expensive like parkour.

Then at the very end they link to a URL with permutationcity in it. And this is kind of related to concepts in Greg Egan's Permutation City. I wonder if it is coincidence or if some of the people involved are fans of weird mathematical sci fi.

And I see permutation city is the title of the post.

if the Roger Zelazny's Chronicles of Amber is made into a netflix series, I want walking through shadows to look like this.
