Boji spends his days traveling Istanbul's subway trains, ferries, buses, and historic trams. His calming presence is infectuous. Boji sometimes travels 30 kilometers a day. Most days he passes through at least 29 Metro stations and take at least two ferry rides. He has learned how and where to get on and off of trains and ferries. He is A Good Boy.

They sucked his brains out!, reading your article + this one about Hachi launches the head-canon that Boli used to travel the transportation system with a human, who has gone missing, and this is Boli's daily search.

This is deeply selfish but I want people to love me like they love Boji. I Imagine once a month I would take a day off. I would get on the bus. Everybody, except fot the non rdr people, cause there's going to some just like there are non dog people, lights up and their day gets a bit better. I'm not so sure about the drinking out of bowls. municipal social behavior training, and being tracked by a microchip parts though.

So instead of just getting rid of something they didn't want they taught him some manners & sent him on his way and I think that's beautiful.

We do not deserve dogs.

Although this makes me wonder how he acts around other dogs and if someone's guide dog happens to look at him in a way he doesn't like then what happens.

I am glad he is getting training, and I assume, food. He looks really thin in some of those, then the shots after the training slide, he looks much healthier. What a clever, good, boy.

But where is he going?

And what does he do once he gets there?

I don't see that as selfish at all. Perfectly normal, best I can see. I had a red Doberman -- Rusty, The Wonder Dog -- she was really beautiful, she had these chocolate colored, really merry, festive, madcap eyes, people were always glad to see her, and who could blame them? And I got a bit of sideways buzz, "Oh, look, there's that galoot who's always with that festive red Doberman. I sure hope she's here ..."

I'm not so sure about the drinking out of bowls. ..
Yeah, that one I'd try a different way.

municipal social behavior training,
We get that, also, we call it K-12.

being tracked by a microchip parts ...
Anywhere you go carrying a cell phone "they" know where you are within four feet

Look at his eyes -- he's totally in the moment. Wherever he's at is where he's going. He lives in Dog Time. People go to ashrams for forty-seven years in hopes of having even one afternoon in Dog Time. Myself, I particularly like that one photo of him lying in the warm afternoon sunshine, snoozing.

Dog Time is very strong as a pooch gets gray; get with a dog with logs burning on a chill night and watch him/her look across Time, thousands of years of dogs and their humans resonating in the dogs heart/soul/DNA/whatever.

Maybe best is when they're eight or nine years old, you can still go gallivanting all day, in and out of the pickup, going here, going there, then going over here, and swimming, chasing, jumping up and down, they've still got the juice and their bones don't hurt yet. That night, around the fire, looking at your dogs eyes you can see the pooch who is six years in the future, and the dog can also see it, and see you there also.

I love dogs.

He looks terribly thin. :( I see a mention of "the shots after the training slide" but I only see one picture after the training slide, and the angle doesn't show his ribs. I hope they are feeding him, aside from the small rewards of the social behavior training.

Having worked in transit, it is great to see positive PR. When in doubt, introduce a cute animal.

Could be that the vet wants him trim. I'm really thin -- really thin, like, I turn sideways, stick out my tongue, ppl think I'm a big zipper -- so I weigh less than I did in high school but both my regular doc and my cardiologist get to jumping up and down, hooting, big thumbs up, turning cartwheels, setting off hundreds of bottle rockets, wearing those stupid New Years Eve hats, ET CET. Maybe the vet in Instanbul is friends with these guys....
