Her Maj tweeted this lovely picture. You would think that the contents of the red box would be official business. And you'd be right. (Single link Imgur of a Twitter thread)

Ah, the communiqué by The Right Honorable Richard Smythastly, NGYU, NGLYD?

Devastating stuff.

The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced I know when our timeline actually forked into its current, darkest form: the day the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade rickrolled the nation.

*slow clap*

I thought this was going to reveal some truly devastating information. I was right.

Bravo. For once I didn't mind that joke.

yea, I did want to see some wild ML. This kinda thing is pretty common, didn't someone read a fasc-y memo from some Trump stooge like this because they carried it outside of a folder?

If Netflix is really savvy about Easter Eggs, they should have that text on one of the red box docs in Season 6 of "The Crown".

The whole time I was like "No way they recover text from a jpeg at twitter sizes even before twitter stepped on it (which I've just learned they stopped doing)"

I started a thing once where I'd send people Saga's "On The Loose", as sort of my own personal brand, but I didn't have what it takes to stay committed to the bit.

..somehow I feel a lot better/lighter after reading this. Rick Astley has done the world a service.

Funny that you added the "Smyth" part in his name.

Yes, it was the MyPillow guy visiting the White House a couple days before the Biden inaugaration, he was carrying a memo with some suggestions for overturning the election including invoking the Insurrection Act.

I saw this on Twitter yesterday morning. As someone interested in OSINT generally, I was looking forward to seeing the outcome. The end was better than anything else it could have been, and I was happy to see it go viral. Great timeline cleanser.

That was clever!

(Does everyone know it was Rick Astley's birthday yesterday?)

And if I recall, no ML was needed to make out the contents because the memo was written in thick felt-tipped marker and clearly visible in multiple photographs taken from multiple angles.

Because that's just how overt and out in the open these fascists are.

Our kiddo's favorite current joke is that the Pixar film Up represents an Astleyan Paradox. You can ask Rick for his copy of that movie, but even though he's never gonna let you down, he's never gonna give you Up.

It is my firm belief that the perpetrator in this case is Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, and I will hold that belief to my dying day.

This document could be legit. Brian Blessed has claimed that Flash Gordon is the Queen's favorite movie and that she watches it every Christmas. Her interests could extend into other memes.

At first I thought this was undertaken by Adam McKay, and my belief that he is a true comedic genius was reinforced.

Marvelous joke aside, is there really software that can guess words based on their blurry outlines? Whenever I see low-res textures in older games (posters, papers, etc.) with almost-readable text, I always wonder what it actually says.
