These are very cool. Proud Canadian over here!

I had a closer look. Here are some that caught my eye:
Sabrina Pasterski looking like the lead singer of your favorite indie band
Hypatia looking like a Greek goddess
Jill Tarter gazing into the infinite
And my favorite, Ursula Franklin looking like the best aunt ever

However, Marie Curie looks very disappointed in you.

Neat! I'd add Sylvia Earle, Rosalind Franklin and Carolyn Porco, but I suppose one can't do everybody all at once, especially since they're covering 16+ centuries and the entire planet!

All STEM-women lists include Marie Curie and Jocelyn NoBell Burnell and Dorothy Crowfoot Hodgkin; the interesting choices lie beyond the usual suspects. This list will require some interesting follow up for me, because I've never 'eard of several listees, so thanks! Missing Canadian is Maud "Michaelis-Menten Kinetics" Menten.

Jennifer Doudna, co-inventor of CRISPR.
Katalin Karikó, key innovator in mRNA vaccines!

Marie Curie looks very disappointed in you.

You know what you did.

I knew Ursula, and that picture, while lovely, doesn't capture even 1% of her sense of fun. I miss her.

Note that, this being a Canadian production, it's going to be very heavy on the Canadian content.

I stumbled upon this Marie Curie t-shirt earlier today.

When volunteering with a hackers' event, I got to choose the field names. I decided to name them after pioneers in computing and cryptography, and furthermore decided to have no more than 50% names of men in the list. I provided Wikipedia links with all names, so people could easily educate themselves if a name was not familiar.
There were some who grumbled. 'But I've never heard of her!' And then I always replied: you should have, and that is exactly why it's good to put her in the spotlight.
There were more who cheered.

Cool posters!
