I miss Sue and Mel on the Bake Off.

I love Sue Perkins. That is all.

I love Sue so much. Recently binge-listened to a few seasons of JUST A MINUTE on the “BBC Sounds” app. I was skeptical that anyone could fill the late Nicholas Parsons’ hosting shoes but Sue does so as well as you could possibly expect anyone to (perhaps unsurprisingly).

Sue posted a picture of Pickle on twitter around that time. That face! What a love.

(Also, I don't know Sue Perkins and I have no idea why it feels right to call any celebrity by their first name, but it's just Sue for her, isn't it? It's hard to think of others like that.)

Mochapickle: Late Lunch and Light Lunch were shows "with Mel [Giedroyc] and Sue [Perkins]" so she's been Mel since the late '90s.

I do love Sue.

Oddly, this is the second time this month I’ve seen her. She’s also on a stand-up comedy series on Netflix, hosted by Katherine Ryan. Allegedly, it is Sue’s first stand-up performance since 2006.

Thorzdad, what’s the name of that show?

Backstage with Katherine Ryan, I think.

More generally, for anyone who doesn't know, Sue played d&d for red nose day a while back. It's such a weird confluence of my interests that I can't help but bring it up any time discussion is vaguely related.

Yup. That’s it. Sue shows up in two latter episodes. FWIW, the acts, overall, are hit-or-miss, and Ryan herself doesn’t do much in the way of performing. She mostly acts as the presenter.

Sue was also in this year's series of Who Do You Think You Are, which was absolutely delightful. It even had a cameo from Mel. This was a lovely letter. Pickle sounds wonderful.

I first saw Sue in "The Supersizers Go..." and I'm disappointed to see that there are only a couple of full episodes up on YouTube anymore. At one time the entire series was there in a handy playlist.
