Wow, that's a lot of songs! And I love the design.

I wouldn't necessarily rely on this for accurate transcriptions. The first song I looked at had a mistake (verse 2 should move up to E).

This is so much better than the big commercial tab aggregators: thank you, and Berry Lou too!

Gold mine for me, a sort of hack at the guitar amateur strummer!

Impressive number of Carter family songs! I most often find myself at https://www.classic-country-song-lyrics.com/ but this site is an excellent addition to the repertoire. Thanks!

The first one I looked at, Message in a Bottle by The Police, was not correct either. For it, I saw some other tabs that required a capo, but it was not mentioned on this sheet. And the other sites use the chord shapes associated with the capo, but not the correct chord names. That's kind of frustrating.

That being said, the midi song for is awesome, the dogs awesome, and the album covers identifying each artist and the artwork (Steppenwolf has a .gif animated wolf) is straight up awesome.

Dang it. The second one I looked at Rock Around the Clock by Bill Haley is wrong too. It's A (mostly) E and I think D, not C, G, F.

That sucks.

Fun to poke around here, but I've always found Chordie much more malleable—sure it's missing [your favorite song], but it will automatically transpose, show you the chord fingering, and allow you to choose from a few different stringed instruments.

E.g., "Strap On That Jammy Pac"

Those are the same chords (I, V, IV) in two different keys (looks like you learned it in key of D, but site has it in F).

What kind of bullshit comment is this? First thing I thought when I saw a post of a site with a bunch of chord guides was, hope they’re accurate, most of the ones I find free online are full of mistakes. This kind of snotty, middle school reaction is out of place here.

I learned it in the Bill Haley Rock Around the Clock form, since that's what song it is. It's fine to know it's a 145, but if you play it in the incorrect key, it won't sound right, and if you know enough to change key for your own singing range independent of the original version, you probably don't need a tabs & chords site.

Agreed - I was quite happy to find the site and am disappointed that other people's experiences of it show it's not as good as I might've hoped. The songs I looked at were good or at least signposted to get me into the recording's key ("capo 1st fret" and the like).

For songs like Rock Around The Clock where the structure is right but the absolute key is incorrect, the chord changer on the site behaves confusingly (moving through additions of 2, 4, 7 and 9 semitones) but gets you to A appropriately. I suspect there is a logic to how this works on guitar that is inadequately explained on the site itself.
