(please do not judge me too harshly for the various crimes to which I'm about to confess, or, do judge me harshly, but don't tell me you're doing it, thank you)
ok I better not tell the whole story of how one time when I was on a temporary relationship pause with taquito then-not-boyfriend, I was hanging out with a lot of friends on the patio of a pizza restaurant during Comicon, like ten people all hanging out, eight of whom very suddenly departed to make their reservation for fancy cocktails at the fancy revolving rooftop restaurant, a reservation that absolutely could not be extended to me & the friend of a friend whom I had just met and who was also left behind on pizza patio, because the reservation you see was far too fancy, fancier than either of us
well we had both joined the group late & neither of us had eaten yet, so we decided to put in an order for our own pizzas & hang out & chat
we did not consciously decide that we were going to have the weirdest most awkward flirtatious encounter in my life if not his, but that is what we proceeded to do over the course of waiting for these pizzas, which, did I mention this was Comicon? this was Comicon, & the kitchen was backed tf up
anyway I think this guy & I talked about bones, probably, at one point I pulled the hairbrush out of my backpack & straight up brushed his hair for him (I know! deeply unhygienic on multiple levels, I do know that)
anyway the piece de resistance was when we were discussing him being one of those artists who draws people (I forgot what they're called, which is embarrassing), and he asked to see my feet, so obviously I showed him my feet, and he had this to say about them:
"Pretty good feet for a 32-year-old."
what an incredible sentence. in the top 5 sentences from my whole life, really.
anyway this flirtation did not go anywhere because he told me he had a girlfriend, then the next day I ran into him on the floor at Comicon with my arms full of discount hentai manga & proceeded to have an especially awkward encounter that included me fishing in my brain for a fake name to give a hypothetical porn star in a hypothetical situation & the name I chose was 100% the name of his girlfriend, which he had 100% told me the night before
I shared all of this with the friend whose friend he is, who also self-identifies as incredibly awkward, and now every year on my birthday I send her a picture of my feet & she tells me they're pretty good for whatever age I am

It gets to me that small is one of the good things for a woman's foot to be. I talked with a woman who crippled herself by wearing shoes that were a size too small.

It's a good article and funny.
I was aware of foot fetishists (how could I not, they are the butt of so many jokes) but not of the foot wiki site. That seems like both a tremendous service to that community, and also such an inappropriate way to commodify public women. But of the ways to commodify women, like compared to those sites that post upskirt/voyeur/revenge photos or the ones that do "deepfake" porn, this seems further towards the benign end of that spectrum at least.

One of the funniest things I found in many years is remembered that Kyle Maclachlan was in the flintsones movie so I looked it up on youtube and the first result was from a foot fetish youtube channel. Seems like they got a lot of content out of that film.

If you haven’t watched the ‘Pick a Number’ episode of Game Changer you should do so as it has a bit that relates to this subject and is hilarious.
My wife and I refer to my boss as my “work mom” because I started this job when I was in my twenties and she has now been my boss for basically as long as I lived with my actual mother. Work mom is great.
About a year ago my phone buzzed and when I unlocked it my wife looked over and asked why work mom was texting me feet pics. Which is, I think, a fair question to ask one’s spouse about their boss.
It turns out she’d sprained her ankle and wanted to show off the swelling. Her ideas about personal boundaries are unusual but not inappropriate.
Pretty good feet for a sixty-one year old.
